Llevamos tres años sin ninguna película nueva de LEGO, y según esto, ya hay otra en producción. El productor de The LEGO Movie, Dan Lin, le cuenta al podcast de The Ankler que ya hay una siguiente película cocinándose. También agregó que vendrá un anuncio muy pronto. Al final del podcast, esto fue lo que dijo:
“We are very active in developing the next LEGO movie. We know we have to switch it up and take it a different kind of art form that’s still true to LEGO so we’ll have some announcements soon. I’m actually really excited about the progress that we’ve made. Lord and Miller really raised the bar for what a LEGO movie should look like and feel like and the tone. I think we’ve reinvented it in a really cool way but eager to announce it.”
Por si se les olvidó, LEGO firmó un acuerdo exclusivo de cinco años con Universal Pictures para el desarrollo, producción y distribución de películas de LEGO después de que fallaron las pláticas de renovación con Warner Bros. Ya pasaron dos años desde que se firmó el acuerdo, y no ha habido ninguna noticia en lo absoluto hasta ahora. Veremos cuánto más tendremos que esperar para el anuncio inminente.
